(Anonymous) 2013-02-02 10:53 pm (UTC)(link)There's a major difference between "the fact that you like abusive pairings makes me wonder if you've been abused" and "the fact that Hetalia is one of your fandoms makes me think you're a racist." The latter is intentionally leaning towards the most offensive interpretation of the facts in the hope that the criticized person will freak out about doing it wrong and change. Or that fandom will agree with you and side-eye them.
In practice, "I judge you" means something more along the lines of "in my head, I'm condemning you." If it were just about making judgments, they'd always be a little invasive (assuming more than you have evidence for), but they wouldn't always be negative.
