Just out of curiosity what would you categorize "The Walking Dead" as? Not disagreeing with you (because I honestly avoid most adult shows due to always falling into the same genres that just feel like once you've seen one you've seen them all) but The Walking Dead for me stands out a little bit as being different, and hence why it's only one of two live action shows I'll go out of my way to watch (the other being Game of Thrones). Though I think at this point I'd categorize Walking Dead somewhere between Crime Drama and Revenge Epic.

I don't watch it regularly, but I see The Walking Dead as more than just a couple of things. It's a Post-Apocalyptic Psychological Drama, Action and Horror show.
