That's some pretty depressing headcanon, OP. But also fascinating and...I think I like it? :o

Agreed- both depressing but somehow intriguing. Considering Madotsuki's isolation, her story fits pretty well with Nanako's upbringing. Sadly, that would mean Doujima's character development was for naught as far as the whole "I'll move on and re-devote myself to my family."

Unless...

On the job tragedy leaves Nanako orphaned? God, that's way too depressing.
