the sole point was to raise awareness....but it's turned into just...yelling at people and being self righteous. The SJWs anyway

I tend to separate the SJ Allies as the genuine people and the Warriors as the crazies. Because going to war is never going to be the answer to solving problems because it's the wrong approach and people who take that aggressive approach usually end up just fighting people.

And fighting/attacking people is what caused a lot of our problems. We need to fight the concepts. not the groups we blame for the concepts. Prejudice is a human trait, it isn't confined to one particular group that we can scapegoat for it.

The problem isn't that they attack people. Some people really fucking do deserve to be attacked.

The problem is they go after stupid teenagers and sic their followers on them. That and they argue poorly. They often go on and on about academic issues but as an academic I can tell you that they do a really shitty job. This is often explained by their About Me link saying they're an undergrad.

I'm sorry, your A- in that one Women's Studies class does not mean you get to speak for me.

calling them out and explaining what was wrong with what they said? Cool. Telling them to kill themselves , or that they should be raped, or suicidal and posting their address online? NOT COOL AT ALL.

I mean God, the internet raged (rightfully) when they found out about some homo/trans*phobic girl giving out addresses of LGBT* people to have their kids kidnapped. But when someone posts up a picture of a young woman's address (where presumably a rapist could see and hunt her down) and shower her with highly specific threats and an article comes out blaming that SJWs?

When your (directed at SJWs) methods are the same as the people you fight that's a damn problem.

I mean to say the focus shouldn't be on attacking but rather on raising actual awareness. SJWs aren't accomplishing anything other than being bitchy to people.

Tumblr's bigger than an internet fanspace, though. I'm not talking about avoiding social justice issues on MSPA forums or the like.

Again, I clarified that if you're seriously just in it to look at pictures, I don't have an issue. It bugs me when you're filtering out any reference to racism or sexism when the person referring to such things might not be an sjw, though. That isn't a real discussion space at all.
