Hahaha, I love this idea. There's an overhaul mod for Fallout 3 that includes an optional fast travel option in which you can't fast travel unless you're within range of a motorcycle that you have to keep maintained, and you can purchase new paint jobs for it too.

There's a mod that lets you drive an actual motorcycle, too, but I haven't tried that.

i'd never thought about it before, but now it's ALL i'm going to be able to think of. just imagine the looks you'd get if you did it in the middle of town.

Haha, I always wonder how the fast travel thing works too. I told myself that someone must have taught the Dragonborn a teleportation spell but your dragon idea is much more amusing AND exciting.

Wow, that's way better than my idea, which was that you just walked to the nearest road and caught a cart going your way.

I really never thought it was anything but "the Dragonborn trekked across Skyrim and even though it took a really long time, no bandits attacked him/her and nothing exciting happened, so instead of endless walking and camping, we're skipping that part."

Though it's funny because if you actually do choose to walk, exciting attacks do happen. BUT THEY WOULD NOT HAVE IF YOU HAD FAST-TRAVELED! It's like Schroedinger's dragon-slayer, man. o_O

lol same. To me it's always been "and then...she walked back to town"

Maybe when you fast travel you meet the sensible bandits who see you walking down a road with high quality armor and a huge sword and a face not to be messed with and they think "nope" and don't attack you? because that's always been funny to me, how I'm just faffing around and then in the distance a bandit spots me and they just HAVE to come at me.

i like to think my character knows teleport magic, tbh.

this is very dangerous if you're fast traveling into a busy town as a vampire. would not recommend it

I..usually just assume they walked/rode/hitched a ride, since there's usually some time that changes [or at least, seems too].
