Has anyone watched this? It's been airing on BBC America the last few weeks but I haven't had a chance to watch it. I sat down partway through an episode tonight and based just on the cinematography I'm not sure I want to watch it now. There were two people talking and the camera was switching back and forth between them. They were talking very fast and in short sentences, sometimes only one word. It was painful to watch but I can handle that if it's something they do only very rarely.

I went digging for some reviews to see if this was something anyone else was bothered by and the thing that kept turning up was that women were very poorly portrayed. I don't mind most media portrayals of women but I read something that said women were portrayed exclusively as two-dimensional characters who were either housewives or prostitutes. Does anyone know if that's the case? I think I'm just hoping they were oversimplifying but I know they probably weren't :(
