And angel-Cas isn't there because he's given Jimmy back his body, and *he's* back with the other Amelia, right? (Though the fact that they re-used the name has made me suspect we're not likely to see Amelia Novak again.)

Or his new vessel *is* the cat named Cas, who kills any demons that approach the property with its angel-cat powers before any of the others even notice and then curls up to sleep on Dean's lap every night (and yeah, I may have just assumed Amelia died... that poor Novak family did not get a fun time of it.)

...yeah, given that, I am 100% fine with your headcanon.

I still can't forget that line from The Rapture, Dean wondering when the job stopped being about helping people and getting them back to their families, and part of me still holds out hope that when the overarching heaven and hell plotlines are finally put to bed, and/or at the end of the series, they'll do that for Jimmy.
