Just to be on the safe side I'd give shit a few months if it was a show, a few more if it's a book or game.

I know that sounds ridiculous but spoiling stuff really does suck.

Example yesterday with that Wheel of Time secret? People have been saying a month for books, but that's not good imo because some people can't read them for a long time. I won't be able to read AMoL until this summer. Books are expensive yo. (And also time-expensive.)

yeah I'm not sure there is ever a good time with books. I would say at least a few months, but really I think unless your in a designated spoiler zone it should really never be done.

I mean right now with the hobbit people are freaking out about spoilers and it's been around for over 70 years. So yeah I don't think book spoilers should be done unless it's in a very clear spoiler zone.

Really I feel that way about major Movie/TV spoilers too, unless it's a spoiler zone it shouldn't happen.
