It's been a very sunny summer here until today. Heavy clouds and raining. I felt in such a low mood, I was prepared to sleep the day away.

Then my family went out, I went with them and mostly got bored until they decided to turn the tide: We all went to play paintball. It was my first time and I had lots of fun. A+++, will do it again.

As we got closer and closer to the house my mood started to drop. Thoughts raced through my head, but they were akin to white noise - I couldn't get a hold on them.

Now we're home again, the rain is splattering against the windows, and I feel so down. I'm kind of hating myself. I had fun! I should be happy :C

Take some vitamin D.

I have a history of depression, though I'm now starting my way to overcoming it. I wish the lack of light didn't affect me so much.

I don't have access to supplements here. Can you rec me food rich in Vitamin D?

I highly doubt that you suffer from a lack of Vitamin D from one rainy day.

I don't think I suffer a lack of vitamin D o/ But I was thinking, maybe it could work as a pick-me-up?

Forgive me if I'm mistaken, my Biology knowledge is lacking on that area.

That I don't know, everything I've read about the topic was about lack of vitamin d during winter. I'd kill for a sunny summer at the moment *woeisme*.

I've read about lack of sunlight messing with serotonine levels (and UVA lamps to contrarrest the effects?), but not about Vitamin D. *Sends some sun to you*

I've had depression for years. But it's worse in winter, indeed.

Thanks for the idea, I will talk about this to my psychiatrist after we go back to our city. I had forgotten about this issue - and it's summer here, so I didn't thought I would encounter a rainy day, and that it would affect me this much.

I've always felt strange, because I feel the exact opposite. I feel really happy when it's dark, cloudy, and rainy. When it's sunny and cloudless I just feel "eh".

It's not strange at all! :D Cloudy/rainy days are very beautiful! :3 I like the shade of light, and can appreciate them from a aesthetical standpoint. It's a pity they make my mood go down, I wish I could just enjoy them.

Honestly? I deal with this stuff by doing something distracting.

Do you play video games? If you like paintball you might like playing a shooter. TF2 is really actiony but not at all serious (if you're on a good server; you'll be able to tell fast). It's incredibly cartoony and hilarious.

Hey, thank you! That could be a good idea. All my current hobbies are on the thinky side, so I get incredibly frustrated when I can't (for example) think of a good tag for my roleplay game; and in days like these my head is too unfocused to read like I always do.

Oh god I know how you feel, I had to call out of work on Friday because I was so fatigued I literally couldn't get out of bed. That whole week I was stumbling around and dizzy... but I'm not getting a fever or anything, it's really weird

It MIGHT be depression, I know that if I don't get enough sun exposure I feel really really crappy
