If you're new to toys, a vibe egg is always a good start, albeit maybe a too soft one. If you're looking for something stronger, go for the Hitachi. (Very noisy, though).
You don't mention if you like penetration, and to what extent, but I've found out I like it more if I'm using a manual dildo than a vibrator.

As for a vibrator, it depends a lot on what size you feel comfortable with. Silicone is the best material. Look for one with the head on an angle, those are awesome to reach the G-spot.
