For me, it's always been whatever I watched first. Like I can't get into Sailor Moon or Trigun subs because I watched those as dubs first. I treat Cardcaptors and Cardcaptor Sakura as two separate shows.

It's a personal preference for me, really and I find that I don't judge others based on it. I also preferred subs a lot because it was the easiest way to practice my listening skills for Japanese.
