It's weird, because so much else in the original series was pointy except the girls, and now look.

I don't have any strong opinion either way, I haven't seen it in action.

Bugs Bunny is a total prick. Of course he'd be a total prick in Roger Rabbit.

Great you were able to list 4 series with better than average dubs, but it's like only 10% are actually good.
The biggest thing for me, though, is the voices themselves. There are many dubs where I can't stand the voices and I think they're awful.

Welcome to the club, OP. I fell in love with them in 2010, when I found reruns on TV (before I saw the movie reboot). It's so un-PC by today's standards, which makes it slightly surreal at points, but it's still really entertaining.

Who's your favorite, if I may ask?

I don't know how I feel about your overall sentiment but I will say Weeds definitely got ridiculous with Nancy's magic vagina. It wasn't her sleeping around that bothered me but how she managed to get out of life threatening situations because for some reason everyone wants to bang her.

Weeds really should have ended several seasons before it did though, Nancy had better writing in the beginning.

What would he gain by doing it? If it was a huge joke on us, isn't 30 years way too long to wait to deliver the punchline? I don't care one way or the other about him but it's hard to believe he'd stay "dead" for 30 years and not want to laugh about it eventually.

You aren't alone, OP. I have had this very conversation. I tend to fall for an actress through seeing her in a role. I will then go and watch vast amounts of her back catalogue, but most of my fannish energy and all my shipping will be focused on her characters.

Crushing on the actress herself makes me uncomfortable, too. And meeting her in real life or following celebrity news about her is as much a pain as a pleasure.

Mileage varies on this, I guess.

There's a difference between "learning history from Hetalia" and "learning history and then making a Hetalia drabble out of it in order to memorize it". I don't feel like there's anything wrong with the latter. And I totally get the sentiment; it's much easier to memorize something that you write down, especially when you do it in a literary form.
