I don't really like Hill's short stories at all, but I loved Heart Shaped Box and his comic, Locke and Key, is great.

So I kinda feel about him the same way I feel about King-- not all of his stuff is good, but it IS all well-written.

Ditto. I loved Heart-Shaped Box but I was not at all fond of Horns. And I find Locke & Key to be an interesting and creepy story.

I loved Heart Shaped Box, but I really disliked Horns (and I really need to pick up a Locke and Key trade soon; I want to read it so bad).

He's a good writer but not everything he does is going to be great.
