What makes me uncomfortable is when fangirls start mixing characteristics of actors with the characters they play, actually. Nothing makes me close a fic faster than giving a character the backstory/habits of the actor who plays them. It's not cute.
As far as I'm concerned, crushes on celebrities are the equivalent of those epic crushes I'd have in school on some cute boy/girl I exchanged maybe 10 words with. These days there's enough interviews and behind the scenes stuff that it happens and can't be helped. Sometimes the way people go about it publicly makes me uncomfortable and crosses boundaries I'd rather they didn't, but just in my head I don't see the harm. Even if they're married- it's just a crush and you're never going to meet them.
