NP! :-) My own mum came pretty close to forbidding it once or twice based on the violence, but we managed to convince her that while we were cheering it all on on TV, it didn't mean that we were fine with violence in real life. Plus I think Dad thought she was over-reacting a bit. But yeah, even back then (some) people were concerned about desensitizing youth to violence, and that above, that they were always very careful to show that no one was actually getting hurt, was the show's response.

These days, of course, the issue would be that they were showing that the actions didn't actually have consequences, that you can flip your car around three times and walk away, and that would be definite cause for concern. Back then we were still figuring out this whole "TV violence = bad" thing and I think hadn't quite gotten the hang of it yet, lol.
