Are you referring to the designs, or the plot? 'Cause I think the artwork of PPGZ is adorable, but the plot was just bleh.

Both. I can't stand the artwork, it takes the PPG style and crushes it into something unrecognizable. At least those new designs are recognizable as the PPG, the art in PPGZ makes them look like generic magical girls.

Also, well, it reminds me of bleedman's stuff, and he creeps the everloving shit out of me.

I like that they kept the touches of black in their outfits, and the hairdo of each girl is so appropriate for each personality and also so cute and cool and then the gloves and the and the and the :3

but, um, yeah, I wanted to like the show, but it was so... generic bland anime :c

I think those designs are adorable, actually. I've never been a fan of the original PPG design, tbh, and I didn't really watch the show because of that. A lot of American kids cartoons are just... not my style. I hate the messy, scribbled style with absurdly unrealistic proportions (yeah, I know, anime style but lbr, it's not even comparable). Shows like PPG, Fairly Oddparents, and so on... I don't know why, it just bothers me so much, I'd rather the people look more like people. I grew up watching superhero cartoons, and whatever anime was shown on Fox Kids, so I don't think much of what I watched had that look.

I haven't seen this show, though. but if you gave me original PPG art and this art, I'd be quick to choose.

No, I think this is a better redesign than the pointy 'new' art. At least here they keep their big bug-eyes and general roundness in the details, the pointy look just doesn't fit.

It is probably due to the fact that I like anime, but those designs are way better than the ones in the secret, IMO.

But the original is still infinitely better than both of them.
