I wouldn't mind dubs so much if they didn't insist on using the same voice actors over and over and over again and kept insisting that they are ~so good~ even though - imo - they sound exactly the same in every single role. There are voice actors like that in Japan as well, but they have so much more professional voice actors that it's not a matter "fuck, not him again" in every single series.

Also: I've had my head bitten off by people who insisted only dubs were good and all those fucking "sub elitists" should go to hell only because I said I preferred the original voice acting (I prefer the original versions in all kinds of things: movies, anime, cartoons, even books if possible.) So it really goes both ways, there are a lot of people who think they are somehow superior for liking the dub. It's a matter of taste.
(My country's female voice actors always sound so.... angry and bitchy, it's annoying.)

You do sound pretty damn elitist if we're being honest.

Even if I sound elitist in this comment, but I didn't when I was discussing the matter with some of the more elitist dub fans. Still got snapped at.
Care to point out the elitist part of my comment, though? Because you sound pretty condescending.

YES, I agree to all of this, so much.

Also getting really sick of being told that having a personal preference somehow makes you "elitist". Ok, sorry, guess we're not allowed to have opinions anymore? jfc.

Yes, this. Nothing against Crispin Freeman, Lisa Ortiz or Rachael Lillis, but do they have to be in everything?

I wish they would give different/lesser known voice actors a chance instead of badly typecasting the same people over and over again...
