i feel the same. i don't know any celebrities and therefore can't crush on them. i don't get crushes on people based on how they look, though. like, their looks factor in, definitely, but it's a whole package thing. so i can crush on characters because i know who they are. although i usually stop myself from crushing on characters because that is an exercise in futility.

That's how I am too. Unfortunately, with social networking and such giving celebrities new ways to reach out to and communicate with fans, we get an idea of what they might be like, and sometimes it's actually pretty appealing.
