Honestly, I'm a mixture of both. I'll try to watch the English dub of a show just because it's nice to hear it in your native language, and really, some of the voice actors are really good these days. A lot of the time, I'm very pleasantly surprised to find that the dub is excellent.

But then there's shows where you just quietly sob and turn back on the Japanese audio with the subtitles. The one thing I do prefer with the sub is that you can hear the honorifics (very few things are localized with those intact), which adds depth to the relationships.

tl;dr I like both, it really is a series-by-series thing. For example, I fucking adore the FMA dub, but will happily watch the sub. I refuse to touch the Shaman King or Loveless dubs because they're fucking awful.)
