You don't need to have a perfect English word with the exact same meaning to have the same message, if there are some alterations in a dub for language/cultural purposes, it doesn't mean they are inaccurate to the actual meaning of the line.

This! I like it when translators focus more on conveying the meaning and spirit of the original than being as accurate as possible. The end result isn't perfect, but Japanese just doesn't translate very easily into English to begin with. When they focus on meaning more than accuracy, stuff like idioms, slang, wordplay, and cultural metaphors that don't have good one-to-one translations become less of an issue, and the final product flows better, makes more sense, and is easier to follow.
