For No.6, I can tell you people hate the dub because they use 'Rat' instead of 'Nezumi'.

The lip flaps don't match up, which means you have to write weird dialogue to try and make it believable, and fandom has already dictated what name they want for that character. Licensing companies used to get to dictate what fandom would refer to a character as--to this day, if I saw the dub first, I usually prefer the naming tendencies there, especially if it was when I was young as I don't remember the last time I watched a dub--but these days fandom has access to the source material and viable translations within hours or days of its release in Japan.

Licensing companies need to learn this or they're going to continue to lose marketshare in trying to rule a group they're coming in to try and conquer.

That's stupid. Nezumi's name is literally Rat. In the case of this name, the meaning is more important than the language. It's significant to the plot, to keep it in Japanese gives the implication that it's a legitimate name, and it's not. Fans complaining doesn't make them right.

The only problem is the lip flaps, but with some creativity, I've seen it naturalized very well.
