Because they're terrible and 99% of the time don't even correspond to the age of the characters. I remember the HORRIBLE Gundam Wing dubs. The characters are supposed to be 15 and they had fucking adults voices. Never again will I touch an US dub.

Also, Death Note dub american version over the japanese voices? LOLno

And remember. Not all of us have english as main language, so american dubs make no sense.
