Captain America is a douche. He's one of those "My opinion is right so everyone who doesn't share it is wrong." I'm not sure it comes off in Captain America, but you can see shades of it in the Avengers, especially how he treats Tony.

yah. He is much more complex in The Avengers, which is why I enjoyed his character more.

You mean when he's got PTSD?

616!Cap may be a self-righteous douche; from what I've heard, Ultimates!Cap definitely is. But MCU!Cap is a different character, and I honestly found it refreshing that he wasn't a self-righteous, arrogant bag of dicks, because that's become so much the expectation that subverting it is novel and interesting.

+1

You mean when he's got PTSD?

Not to mention the scene(s?) in which he's obviously being affected by Loki's sceptre, along with the rest of the Avengers except for Tony.

For someone dealing with recent trauma plus a ton of present day emotional stress (both situational and magically-induced), I think he's doing pretty well.

yeah, they didn't really get into it in CA, but I'm hoping it will come out more in CA2 now that they've established his character and brought him to the present.

Yeah, I actually liked Cap much more in Avengers because he seemed more well-rounded. I did like his movie though but more because I adored Peggy.
