(Anonymous) 2013-02-11 02:32 am (UTC)(link)I watch dubs sometimes too if they are good, but I usually prefer subs, largely for this reason. Sometimes I compare the subs and dubs, and the English voice actors in the dub often completely change the emotional inflection of scenes and it messes up the original context/meaning. And I don't find it hard at all to pick up emotion/intonation/etc. from the Japanese though I don't speak it.
