I tend to think everyone in fandom is made of stars until proven otherwise. And since I'm a fandom recluse, rarely is it ever proven otherwise, thus all of you are made of stars ♥

That's what I thought, and I agree it sounds likely to me. I haven't met her, but she seems nice enough. I don't have a problem with her expressing her opinions publicly on the internet (though I've given up defending her on the anon meme, since all I ever get back is "hi, pocky_slash" from the geniuses who think only she or her friends would ever defend her).

And that's why, other than Fandom Secrets, I don't do anon memes. Then I don't have to worry about other anons being asshats and poisoning the waters.

God forbid people have strong opinions or feelings on things, clearly that's a reason to hate them. I mean, my friends hold strong opinions on things I don't care for and we're still good friends! Crazy how that works. (I am totally assuming that this is the problem, really I'm just taking a stab in the dark.)

The "opinions" in question are her opinions about types of fic, tropes, etc. She's very vocal about not liking mpreg, omegaverse, etc., and posts frequently about types fic she dislikes on her twitter. Sometimes it's obvious which fic she's talking about, sometimes less so. It's obnoxious sometimes, sure, but XMFC fandom is full of special snowflakes who can't stand the thought that she might not like something they've written, so they occasionally congregate on the anon meme to talk shit about her.

Well, not everyone is going to save up their unpopular opinions for fandom secrets. Some people just get them out there and that's ok. If people could just accept that people have different opinions and likes and dislikes, things would be so much less dramatic.

Pretty much, yeah. I'm not sure why it's okay for anons to come and outright back authors and fic at length on the anon meme, but not okay for pocky_slash to make the occasional short tweet about fic she doesn't like.

People have no taste. They prefer bland and inoffensive to anything with verve and fire. This in their fanfic as well as their fandom personalities it seems. *shrugs*
