I wish I had more sexual experience in the past than I actually do. I'm not half as experienced as people think I am. It makes me feel a bit weird being the odd one out while people younger than me have more experience than I do.

I get this. I've actually slept with a fair number of people, so the people who know that think I'm pretty experienced... but it was mostly one night stands (for various reasons), so my actual level of experience is quite low.

I really want a relationship now and I'm old enough that I'm a little nervous about explaining this to a prospective girlfriend. Especially since I'm also bi, so I also worry I'll be seen as not "legitimate."

I tend to agree. But at the same time, I only want quality experiences. So I tell myself I'll take the limited I've had over cheaper sex.

Me too. It's not so much "Gee, I wish I banged more people more often" but more like, going forward I wish I was a bit more practiced and confident and that I fit better into that comfortable range of "enough" sexual experience for my age. People reacted weirdly back when I was a virgin and I still worry about weird reactions now if I were to admit how inexperienced I actually am or how long it's been since I last had sex. Would this make a future partner nervous? Or would that person start to fetishize me for it? (Which is kind of worse, because if I felt someone wanted to have sex with me because of my inexperience and not because of a sexual interest in me personally, that would be a huge, deal-breaker turn-off.) It's probably worry over nothing, but that never stopped anyone from worrying...
