i'm not cynical and i care about a lot of things, but fandom has always been a place to escape for me, a place of fantasy and happy squees. to me, that's what it always will be, and it's kind of unfortunate because i've never had a bad taste in my mouth from social justice until it invaded fandom.

Are you sure we're not already there? I see more people complaining about social justice people than I see actual social justice people in most places online. Either the pendulum is swinging in the opposite direction again or the problem was never as big of an issue as it was made out to be.

Hopefully the Next Generation will genuinely care about issues again like they did after the collapse of the Cold War instead of just being in love with the idea of caring and using that as a weapon to beat up others and be dicks.

That is what sickens me about SJW, they don't actually care about the issues. They just care about saying the right thing to make themselves look good and parroting buzzwords in the right order to win the "holier than thou" olympics. The little status obsessed fuckers can all go and rot.
