I've been meaning to reread LOTR too but haven't got around to it.

As for Hobbit, I kinda feel you. I reread it before the movie and still greatly enjoyed it, but definitely found more flaws in it this time around.

Maybe you'll have a completely different reaction to LOTR? You'll never know unless you try!
