Re: How Long Do You Think Your Favorite Shows Will Last?

[personal profile] dreemyweird 2013-02-13 01:05 am (UTC)(link)
My favourite shows are already over, yet I can't help but wonder this about Elementary and Sherlock - the ones I currently watch. The level of obsession with Sherlock in fandom is so high that I'm afraid to think of what will happen if the series is closed. Thousands of mad fangirls, screenwriters receiving death threats... ugh. I guess Sherlock's popularity must subside a little for it to be properly closed. Which will be hard, considering the frequency with which the episodes are produced (that is, the series technically won't be able to have more than, say, fifteen-twenty episodes if they work at their current rate. On the other hand, I hope that once the leading actors are old enough, all the insanity will gradually lessen).

Elementary? They bake their series so fast that I don't think they'll be able to keep up for long. Luckily, this one in all probability won't have problems with having a good, proper ending.
