Those first two I could see, but not that last one. Not because a trans character doing cool shit isn't valid, but because--unless we're talking internet publishing--it would require too much in-story explanation if you're aiming at a general audience. Most people have no idea that there is even a disagreement over transgender vs transsexual, much less how to work that into a general story that wasn't entirely about being trans. It would require a lot of work, and that's really the thing: writing about people with an identity you aren't familiar with is hard.

It wouldn't have to be that hard, or that explain-y. And who says a cis person or a woman should write it?

But really, why should it be harder to write about a trans man than about, say, a cis man living in the 1950's? If you want to be a good writer, you need to learn about things. Authors research stuff all the time; I don't see why this should be so much more difficult.
