I'm so excited about the new popularity of dwarfs because my D&D character is a dwarf

I am tempted, when my desktop is fixed, to play a round of Baldur's Gate 2 with a dwarf player character. With Hobbit icons. Possibly of Thorin.

I admit I've never played a dwarf in it before. I've been too much of a half-elf fangirl for too long - almost all my past Charnames have been half-elves. I'd like to experiment with a dwarf and see what options it allows.

Admittedly, my game is chock full of all sorts of mods. For all I know, my Darf Charname may end up with Nathaniel (romance mod for a gay romance)... unless Nathaniel has a species restriction.

Now I'm idly contemplating the irony of a Thorin expy ending up with a Drow.

Nice. Yeah, I'm a little annoyed because the majority of people in my D&D campaign are elf or half-elf. I'm like BE MORE CREATIVE. Version 3.5 has so many other choices, you know?

Yeah. While BG is restricted due to being a computer game, if I had opportunity, I'd play an aasimar (strictly a 3.5 one, because I hate 4E).
