With non-con the assumption is generally: oh, this is for kinky purposes, I don't condone real life rape and neither does the author, we all know what's going on here, it's all cool. Dub-con feels a lot more real to me, especially if the author's final judgment seems to be: he/she did want it really so this doesn't count as rape, this is just hot.

For me, if it's clearly written as kink-fodder I'm a lot more likely to find it hot. The minute I start to think the author doesn't see the problem is when I start to get creeped out.
