I can sort of see where you're coming from. I mean, I can't really read either because lack of consent hits my squick buttons hard, but at least with out-and-out non-con, it's universally portrayed as an attack. Dub-con, though, at least from what little I've seen, makes it hard to tell whether it's just supposed to be hot or if the author actually thinks the behavior is okay. It somehow comes off as more ignorant of rape culture than straight-up non-con :/
