So apparently my SJ comm plans are back on

Okay, so, a while back I sorta started a comm that was going to be about discuss SJ and separating SJAs from SJWs and promoting the former without it descending into the latter. I shelved the idea because for a while, it looked like this sort of thing was happening on its own. But was apparently more cyclical than I thought because it's coming back.

I think I might start that thing back up again (or, uh, actually start it in the first place), because I am a strong advocate of social justice issues (it is a massive portion of why I study what I do at my school), but at the same time the amount of harassment, bullying, and torment that have come to define the movement are ridiculous and counter-productive, and in the long run will only doom the ideals of social justice.

...I only talked about it once on this thread? And before that I haven't talked about it in ages, here or anywhere else. I'm not sure how I can be "getting" boring with one comment.

Well, the vestiges of it are here: sj_awareness. Kind of dead right now - as I mentioned, I shelved the idea to keep a quieter eye on SJ trends in fandom, but if things keep going the way they are I'll be starting it back up again anyway. :)
