I don't know how many times I've seen people get riled up about sensationalist headlines and angry! Tumblr! Posts! without reading the actual article. SO many people go, "THE SKY IS FALLING! THE SKY IS FALLING!" when, if they'd actually read the attached news article, no, the sky is not falling. You're just taking a sensationalist headline at face value.

Tumblr's kind of like that in general, though. Something about the reblogging system seems to make people forget how to fact-check.
