What REALLY annoys me about many SJWs is their lack of research. I don't know how many times I've seen people get riled up about sensationalist headlines and angry! Tumblr! Posts! without reading the actual article. SO many people go, "THE SKY IS FALLING! THE SKY IS FALLING!" when, if they'd actually read the attached news article, no, the sky is not falling. You're just taking a sensationalist headline at face value.

I think people who are upset about things like A: TLA's movie casting, "Fake Comic Book Girls," and banning the word "gay" from schools have an actual right to be upset. People who are getting riled up for the sake of getting riled up do not. And don't get me started on many SJW's treatment of trans* people.

I completely agree - my biggest problem with most SJW-ing is its total inability to acknowledge context and look beyond a sensational headline or a poorly-phrased comment.

Which is ironic, because the notion of context is a cornerstone of SJ in the first place.

Tumblr's kind of like that in general, though. Something about the reblogging system seems to make people forget how to fact-check.

That Joker-Without-Make-Up thing basically sums up the lack of research and tendency to believe every little slice of bullshit that gets fed to them pretty well.

Did a lot of people get sucked into the Joker-without-makeup thing, though? I saw like three people overreact to it and then get smacked down by many times that number of people going "are you stupid, that's a screencap from The Dark Knight."

(Not saying that there isn't a lot of bullshit on Tumblr that people unblinkingly believe and pass on, but that one's not really the best example, since the post only went viral in the first place due to the "hey, look at these idiots!" factor.)

I meant it more along the lines of "That was a great example how the minds of SJWs tend to work" - jumping at conculsions, overreacting and believing + parroting the bullshit someone says without cross-checking it.
