Damn is he pretty in this show. I only started watching it myself and it's a good thing Armitage is pretty, because it doesn't do much for me. (Maybe it gets better? I'm mostly watching for Armitage in leather and Marian anyway so I guess it doesn't matter.)

Sorry to disappoint, but it really doesn't get much better.
My unsolicited advice: try to find the humour in it, it makes the whole thing a lot easier. Especially during series three.

Not all that surprised tbh.

That's what I've been trying to do, yea. I don't see how it's possible to take this show too seriously. (IMO it would be unwatchable.) The sheriff is hilarious and Much is adorable, and with Marian being reasonable and badass and Guy being pretty and a fabulous bastard, it's just enough to get me through the episodes. I've only seen about four though, so I imagine once I become a bit more acquainted with the characters I'll enjoy it more. (Hopefully.)

I'm going to take it series three is a particular mess? If I ever get there I will heed your warning.

As an old Robin Hood fan, I'd honestly suggest that don't go anywhere near series three.

I'm serious, if you bond with ANY of these characters, then you don't want to watch further than maybe episode ten of series 2.

I'm not even done with season one yet so I guess I'll see how I feel when I get to season two. If it's too bad I might stop, though I guess it also depends on how long season three is.

Season three is a trainwreck. Just watch for Guy. He's the only good thing about it.

That's the same reason I'm watching it. Because really, Guy and Marian are the best parts. One of these days I'm going to make one or two of Marian's dresses. Because they're fantastic.

And they really are! Guy isn't exactly a great guy, but he's certainly easy on the eyes and a fascinating character, and Marian is quite likable and tough. ...Plus, yea, she's got some nice clothing. :p If you ever make those dresses, please post pictures to the comm!

Oh god no. Guy is definitely not a great guy, but he is definitely sexy as hell and such an interesting character. Villains are just fun! And it's Richard Armitage in leather, you can't really go wrong there. Love Marian to pieces.

Oh, I will DEFINITELY post pictures. I have to choose which one/ones first, though. Because they're all so awesome.

Haha, yes. It's still early in the series for me so maybe he does change by the end of the show? Clearly he's never going to be a good guy though; that wouldn't be a realistic development for him. I do like how infatuated he is with Marian, too; it's nice to see a different side of him. You really cannot. He's ridiculously hot in his Guy outfit, and that's saying something considering how he normally looks.

I... actually haven't finished the series myself. I've heard... things about the last season. Haven't been able to bring myself to watch it yet. And as such I sort of trailed off on the watching. Might have to pick it back up, though. Or possibly start all over. Yeah, Richard Armitage is just all sorts of sexy, but the leather kind of cranks it up tenfold.

I'm leaning towards the Night Watchman costume and the green and orange dress at the moment, though. Might have to start off with something simpler, as my sewing skills are... less than I wish they were.

Ahhhhhh, I see. (Have been there too!) I've heard enough about Robin Hood that I doubt I'll surprised by the ending, which is why I think finishing up won't be a problem. Unless I just get bored or distracted by something else. :( Maybe it's better than it sounds? ...IDK.

Oh, I really like the Night Watchman one! When you mentioned Marian's costumes I immediately thought of it; it's very stylish and she looks fantastic in it. Also, practice makes perfect. :p

Yeah, I know I shouldn't let it stop me, but it's just... what they did kind of baffled me. Maybe it plays out better than it sounds. Because it sounds incredibly... out of left field.

I will probably have to work up to the Night Watchman one; it looks as though it takes leather, or leather-like material and I am DEFINITELY not there yet. So the does the other dress, really. But there's a cream dress she wears that looks like it might be sort of vaguely on the simple side. Indeed it does! I just... don't want to fuck up the projects beyond any hope of fixing.
