Funny how none of the SJWs were bothered by the horrific abuse that happened to Theon that they only harp about the mere threat of rape to a female character. I guess sexual abuse doesnt count if happens to a guy. You definitely wouldn't see them shipping Ramsay with a female Reek at least.

I think people are bothered by it in the same way people are bothered by torture. But I think SJWs don't really take social umbrage with it because there's very little male victimization in GRRM's world. If it HAD been a woman, it would be another example. Since it's not, it's the unique exception.

That is my opinion anyway. I'm not agreeing or disagreeing, but you know, moderation is key.
