I swear to fucking god, if I see one more person try to claim that Benedict Cumberbatch should "obviously" play the Twelfth Doctor or the next Master, I might just blacklist the whole DW fandom in irritation.

Agreed. I wish these people would realize that just because you like an actor doesn't mean they have to be in EVERYTHING EVER. Their fancastings are always so unimaginative.

Fancasts are almost always unimaginative. People usually can't look past similar coloration/played a similar role before.

But I agree I wouldn't want to see Cumberbatch in Doctor Who, especially as 12. Honestly, I'm not sure why anyone would want to see a face they'd recognize. I like new faces.

Besides, of course, tagging...besides just being incredibly overwhelming with their silly comments on unrelated posts (DW, Sherlock, Supernatural), and THG movie fans for really just reminding me that it exists....nothing really bothers me.

I know that lots of people get annoyed at the folks trying to apply real situations to...Legend of Korra, but whatever.

I sometimes feel like I don't belong on tumblr because I couldn't possibly care less about Supernatural or BBC!Sherlock.

About half of the people I follow on tumblr are totally unrelated to fandom and the fans I do follow are mostly funny and self-aware. I hate stupid tumblr shit with a passion, but there's a place for everyone!

people's obsession with teen wolf (sterek specifically), tom hiddleston, benedict cumberbatch, lana del ray and cara delevine pops up often. i don't get every single reaction to every post ever with tears, "perf" and/or 'IMMENSE ~FEELS~'. i mean, tumblr isn't LJ/DW but can there at least be a little more substantial conversation? i also don't get tumblr fame, and tumblr bfs/gfs.

It's like Homestuck, but with entire fandoms involved.

Like, remember Hetalia where all the nations are just people with some stereotypes mixed in? well imagine the same thing happening, but to fandoms.

Now, I've seen some of the concepts and character designs, and it's not that bad, but something inside of me is telling that some fangirls are only using it as an excuse to crossover their favorite fandoms with impunity and broad-brushing diverse fan-bases down to a few stereotypes.

-The fact if you post meta, most of the time instead of actually talking to you (regardless of who you are, famous or not) will either like it or reblog it, only tagged with #good commentary. Drives me up the fucking wall.

-Seeing the same social justice post over and over and over and over. And the unspoken agreement that if I don't feel everything with all my heart or do everything tumblr tells me to, I am a bad person.

Some people's weird hang up about adding their own commentary to a post where it would fit. I hate tag essays. They're exhausting to read because of the weird language it forces people to assume and punctuation is replaced with hashtags. If you didn't have the confidence to state your opinion in the post itself-- or at least make a response post to save people from the eyesore, I'm not gonna read your dissertation.

The only thing that truly bothers me on tumblr is people who post every goddamn second of the day. I try to avoid following people who do because I lose important posts in their constant spamming.

These are the same reasons I left twitter. I wish tumblr would give me the option of having groups so I could sort out my close friends I follow versus random blogs I like.
