Once I was walking out of the library and I overheard the middle of this conversation coming from a passing couple;

"Oh, yeah. I had a cousin who was like possessed by six demons..."

I spun around on my heel and mouthed the word, "WHAT?" They went inside the building and I came this close to following them back in because I wanted to hear the rest of the conversation. I didn't though. Still regret that I didn't.

It was not that she believed in demons that made me go, "What?" It was the fact that her cousin was possessed not by one or two but a cool half dozen of them. What happened there? Was it some odd book club meeting and they couldn't find any other body? Did one possess her and then tweeted, "Dudes, found a nice meatsuit. Meet me in the blonde. PARTY TIME!" Seriously, what happened?

I hear lots of stories like this in my hometown. One of my coworkers claimed to have been possessed in high school because her spirit was too weak back then.

I actually hear that one a lot. 'She got possessed because she wasn't strong enough to fight it off!' Not that I'm making fun of that belief. Everybody around here believes in ghosts. I'm the weird one 'cause I don't.
