16. I LOVE Orihime, she's adorable. Seeing her get bashed, especially because of aesthetic reasons, makes me sad. :(

19. I'm was an avid Jakotsu fan (back when I was into Inuyasha. XD Not so much anymore, though). I thought he was hilarious. But I definately knew he was a complete bastard. People actually thought he was nice? D: FANDOM.
I didn't like Renkotsu as much, but he was interesting. And used guns/cannons. :D

20. Oh man, I completely agree. :( I like cutesy art from time to time, but really wonderful pieces that the one the right ALWAYS amaze me. I also like fanart a lot too, if they're well done, but even I'm getting tired of constantly seeing anime and fanart on the front page. :( I usually don't favorite art on Deviantart though, because I don't like doing it without leaving a comment and I'm usually too shy to leave said comment. D: I'LL TRY TO GET OVER THIS.
And the artist who did the elf piece also did a wonderful one of Wander (from Shadow of the Colossus), which made me unbelieveably happy. XD

22. Just wanted to let you know I'm completely jealous of the fact that you have Japanese classes in your school. D: I like French, but I really wanted to learn Japanese.

24. I didn't really like Haruhi for that scene either, but...I didn't think it was THAT offensive. :/ And it's equally Mikuru's fault for not standing up for herself.

28. IT'S LIKE LOOKING INTO A MIRROR. D: I'm in the same boat as you! I can never build up the courage to ask people if I can friend them or comment in communities or jfkljdalkfj aarrrrgggggh. I wish I wasn't so socially inept. ;_;

And it's equally Mikuru's fault for not standing up for herself.

I was too intimidated to stand up for myself when I got assaulted by a boy back in highschool. Does that somehow make what he did to me okay?

The OP was pretty nasty about it but I agree with him/her about the base of why they dislike Haruhi's character and why they hate to see people idolize her.

I've seen the whole series myself and honestly I don't think the way Haruhi behaves should ever be held up as 'cool'. She treats people crappy, ruthlessly takes advantage of their weaknesses, and nothing really excuses her actions.

The show has it's merits, but Haruhi's character isn't one of them for me.

Fucking word.

I saw the whole series at my anime club, and the fact that people LAUGHED at that comp lab scene disturbed me greatly. Sexual harassment is not and won't ever be funny for me.

Ah, my curse of not thinking my thoughts through and wording them terribly comes back to haunt me.

Of course Haruhi's actions weren't justified because Mikuru didn't stop her.

I just think Mikuru could have done more than start sniffling. :/

Haruhi gets a little better later in the series, especially after the first six (chronological) episodes. But yeah, I don't really see the coolness factor in Haruhi's character. If she was a real person, I'd probably hate her. D: (Somehow, being animated alleviates my annoyance towards her.)

jklfdjlkjl BECAUSE I SUCK AT SAYING STUFF ONCE MORE.

No I don't think Haruhi should have taken advantage of Mikuru's meekness. I dislike Mikuru being unable to say no, but it's no excuse for Haruhi to use her as much as she does.

Fail for blaming the victim.
