Someone forgot to take their meds today... Maybe I'm desensitized, but in the back of my head, I realize it's anime, and nobody with half a brain in real life would ever do something like that, so I sit back and relax, and yes, I laughed at that scene. It's just anime/animation, so take it as such. I mean, Tom and Jerry whack each other around with mallets and other blunt objects constantly. If you laughed at that, then you're a hypocrite for the secret, but that's beside the point. The point IS, it's an anime and for you to lose respect for ANYONE just for saying they love it is rather immature.

That goes for ALL 'lose respect' secrets, btw. LOL in before wank.

And I totally love how everyone is accusing the OP of #24 for taking shit too seriously, and at the same time getting their own knickers in a Gordian knot because a random, anonymous person on the internet whom they will likely never meet has lost respect for them.

Yeah, it's funny how that works, huh? ;)

The way I'm looking at it is they lose respect because liking certain things such as a character's personality traits reflects a little something about who that person is. The traits in Haruhi piss this poster off, but for someone else those exact same things are what makes her "cool" to them. I don't think there will ever be an understanding between these two types of people. Sure makes for some lively wank though! :D
