Well, he's basically older Aladdin, and Aladdin is probably the first Disney character made to look appealing to women. Certainly he has a better personality than some of the newer ones.

Someone mentioned upthread that Aladdin was one of the first Disney animated characters explicitly designed to appeal to women, and, well, I guess he had to get it from somewhere...

It's a damn shame most of the 40 thieves were so ugly in the animation. Just a little hotter and the Sexy Shenanigans possibilities would've been endless. >:)
