Yeah, that's fair; theocracy is scary. I might've framed it as, "feel free to go anon for RL safety reasons as needed," but the concern is a valid one.

Then there is my religion, which says we are supposed to be anonymously religious (i.e., live as good examples without verbally bible-banging). IOW proselytizing or shoving my religion down someone else's throat is a bad bad bad thing and not only would it make me a bad person but it would make me a bad Christian too.

So that is also part of why I said anon preferred. That and forestalling Spreadsheet!Anon and others who might look at the usernames here differently in future, depending what religion they admitted to, even if is only a sock account. Which is sad, but also a very real possibility.
