I think they're talking about what went on in the thread, not the 77 kudos she got.

The initial thread didn't have dogpiling, and it also had several people such as myself who didn't think that it was right to kudos the author. The point that the secret-maker is talking about was after the topic got overrun by an unusually large number of trolls who were going with overblown stances of either or both "Anyone who gave that author kudos is evil! I'm embarrassed! This is the worst of all internet bullying!" or "She deserved it, take the sticks out of your asses, upsetting people is what real fun looks like!".

It's pretty much certain that the OP of this secret is one of the trolls and just trying to drag the wank out. IDK why they're bothering; maybe they're a friend of the author?
