I've watched both G1/G2 and G4, and honestly? I like G1/G2 better. I don't understand all this hate for Megan. She was a female character who 1.)Wasn't all about fashion and boys, and that was pretty rare back then, 2.)Actually did things. Sure, at the end of the day she'd rely on the locket, but still. She jumps headfirst into a river to save AJ and goes fist to fist with a dragon. Come on! And 3.)As far as 'insert viewer here' characters, she wasn't that bad. She could have been far, far worse.

I think G1 has a charm G4 lacks. Also, Midnight Castle>Canterlot Wedding.
