Oh, lol. I liked that the movie wasn't a typical zombie survival movie. I thought it was a really fun take on the genre by putting the survivalists in the BG and telling it from the zombies' POV while making it a love story.

Was it a perfect movie? No.

But I thought it was a LOT of fun.

I liked that character too. I also found the teen love story to be pretty unnecessary; I appreciate that the movie tried something different, but I really, really hate that so many horror/monster movies are going in the direction of romances these days. And teen romances, at that.

/only went to see this movie because her bf watches every zombie movie in existence

...might try reading the book then. The love story makes so much more sense and the backstory explains why Julie's father idea of survival is, uh, not even close. (No way they were ever getting kids dissecting 'living' zombies was ever going to make it the movie and stay at the rating it is)

lol "Julie" and "R", and it's based off Romeo and Juliet.

lol. There's even a balcony scene. I don't think the movie was trying to hide it.

I could never remember the name of it so I told everyone I was seeing the zombie romeo and juliet for Valentine's day. I guess I just thought that's what it was. (and aside from the brain eating necessary for a zombie movie, it was freaking adorable.)

His personality makes sense from what we know of his backstory, but I didn't really sympathize with him. R's something unlike ANY zombie he's previously seen. He ought to be at least a little curious about that. (Besides, he openly admits just a minute earlier that the guards at the wall aren't enough to hold back the current onslaught, and R offers him an alliance. It's better to make an untrustworthy ally and have a slim chance than try to fight everyone at once and have no chance.)

Let me guess. You're one of the people that came out of that movie complaining that it was a zombie movie without enough zombies.

Oh man I saw "zombie movie" and "Julie" and for a minute I was freaking out wondering if the Zombies Ate My Neighbors movie was actually made and I just never knew about it or something. And then I read the part where you said it was something else.

/totally off topic

It definitely was the wrong movie for you. It was a teen romance set in the world of zombies, not a serious zombie movie that happened to have a teen romance. I thought it was entertaining as hell.

he came across as your friend's mean dad to me
