Yes.

Not only do I have faith that something I love will be able to recapture what made me love it (one show I stuck in the fandom for during a season I thought was okay and then one I thought was abysmal is now lovely again, and I'm so glad I've been proven right), I don't see why I should stop posting/reading fanworks set in season "3" just because it's now season "6", because I adored season 3 and I dislike season 6.

Hypothetical numbers are hypothetical. I don't have a particular show in mind.

What was the show you're mentioning that became crappy but then improved?

I'm curious, because that's rare in my experience: usually shows start crappy and get better, or start good and slide inexorably into crappiness.

I'm betting it's Supernatural.

Or Once Upon a Time. There's a ton of hate-watch there. Though Smash did get a hate-watch write up in I think Entertainment Weekly.
