If you haven't read them, how do you know you don't like them?

I don't know if the books I'm your secret are actually representative of what you wouldn't read, but there are some authors/books I both really enjoyed (Salinger, Orwell) and some I hated (ugh, 'The Stranger' is the worst). How can you not like Aesop's Fables? Don't judge a book by its status of a classic. Ask the question: is this subject something I would enjoy?

Aw, I love The Stranger.

Aesop's Fables get really old really fast.

It's true. They, like Grimm's Tales, are best in small doses. This coming from someone who rather likes both sets of stories. They just tend to get repetitive.

They make good kid's books, but for grownups, yeah, you're gonna get bored.

Aesop's Fables are some of the most backwards and depressing tales I've read, and I read them as a little girl. To this day I can't stand them.
