I am a huge fan of subversion, too. Granted, I'm mostly into slash, so some things end up a bit subverted anyway, but certain slash tropes, like The Height Rule, I'm very happy to see subverted.

(Also, one of my favorite things about A:TLA was the fact that Sokka unabashedly loved SHOPPING and it wasn't treated as something abnormal ;U; WE CAN BE SHOPPING BROS, SOKKA~)
